Bio

Writer, singer and pianist, Melanie Robinson, is a small bundle of sweetheart from Northeast Ohio with a big voice of gold. Being submerged in music of all types from a young age, Melanie never settled into any one genre of music. From classical piano lessons at the age of seven to vocal Jazz ensemble at age fifteen, on to Jazz piano lessons from the legendary Pat Pace at the age of seventeen, followed by classical vocal training, Melanie has always excelled in music.

Melanie often attributes her musical experience, aspirations and abilities to God and her father, Bernard Lawson, a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist  from whom Melanie without a doubt inherited her outstanding musical abilities. Growing up very close to her father, Melanie has been in the presence of some of the greatest entertainers and song writers of our time; Andrae Crouch, James Ingram, Patti LaBelle, all people of great success with tremendous integrity and hearts of gold. Melanie says that these experiences helped her to see early in life that you don't have to sacrifice character in exchange for success.

Amidst all of her musical influences, and training Melanie Robinson has somehow managed to develop a musical identity so unique and untainted that it can only be described in one word - pure. Her voice, her delivery and the transparency of her lyrical content are sure to leave you speechless.

Melanie has several sails in the wind so keep your eyes on the horizon, your ears to the air and hearts wide open. She is sure to make a grand entrance very soon and would love your warm welcome upon arrival!
